Great sites to visit to help with your homework or to try some extra learning mixed with a bit of fun.
Literacy
- Visit the Spelling City website where it can help students build their vocabulary and reading comprehension.
- Bitesize - Key stage 1 English by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has a large resourse of literacy topics.
- Ziptales is an online literacy website aimed to make reading an enjoyable experience.
- Roy the zebra is a reading website for emerging readers.
Numeracy
- Mathletics is a captivating online learning space for students to learn mathematics.
- Sumdog is an interactive mathematics program.
Additional learning
If you would like to do some school work in the holidays you could use these to play sight word bingo (DOC 71KB) , go fish, memory or as normal sight word flash card (DOC 44KB).
You may also like to ask your children what sound they can hear at the start of different words or what numbers they can see in the environment.
