Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They give students meaningful opportunities to build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also invite families and carers into our school, so they can share in their child’s achievements and feel part of our Point Clare Public School community.

Book Week

Date: Term 3, 2026

Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading and the joy of stories. Throughout the week, students take part in a range of fun literacy activities, including shared reading, themed classroom tasks, and library events.

A highlight of Book Week is our book character parade, where students are invited to dress up as a favourite character from a book they enjoy. We also explore the Children’s Book Council of Australia shortlisted books and use them as a springboard for discussion, writing and creative projects.

Families are encouraged to join us for selected Book Week activities and to continue the celebration of reading at home by talking about books, visiting the local library and reading together.
