Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

The philosophy of our P&C is based on a family/school partnership to education. We are an inclusive, friendly organisation aiming to create a positive education environment for our children - we are constantly working towards the welfare of our students.

Our school benefits from parental and community involvement. This involvement enriches our students' school experiences and provides funding for additional student and school resources.

We want your voice heard, and joining the P&C is a great place to start. We need your help and contribution to continue the great tradition of the Point Clare P&C. Whatever your skills, whatever time you can give, you'll be creating a better education future for our kids.

Join our P&C

Membership is open to parents and carers of children attending Point Clare Public School, as well as residents of our area. A one-dollar ($1) annual membership entitles you to nominate for positions on the executive and sub-committees, voting rights and access to meeting agendas and minutes. Join the executive and sub-committees

The executive and sub-committees facilitate the management and organisation of all P&C business and events. Meetings are held to discuss and implement ideas and address related management issues. Positions are elected at each annual general meeting in May every year. Only current financial members are entitled to nominate for positions and vote.

Volunteer at our school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• helping in the canteen
• getting involved in the P&C
• listening to children read in the classroom
• volunteering on sports days and other school events
• helping supervise excursions.
