At Point Clare Public School, our kindergarten students are doing a lot of amazing things. Here are some:
Kick Up Your Heels at the Barn Dance!
To celebrate our amazing Kindergarten students' milestones, the Early Stage 1 team hosts an annual Barn Dance. As part of our Creative Arts curriculum, students showcase their new dance moves—and parents love to get parents up and dance, too!
Connecting with Country: Kindergarten's Journey to Bulgandry
Ahead of their Term 3 excursion to the Bulgandry Aboriginal Art Site, our Kindergarten students will welcome a local Aboriginal Elder to school. Students will hear stories about the history of this sacred local site and learn how to visit and protect it with care and respect.
Science Comes Alive at the Reptile Park!
In Term 2, our students head to the Australian Reptile Park for a hands-on adventure. This popular excursion brings our classroom Science units to life, giving students a close-up look at animal adaptations, lifecycles, and habitats.
Experience Kindergarten Firsthand
We love welcoming new families to our school! Our Open Days and orientation sessions give incoming students a wonderful taste of school life, allowing them to step into the classroom, meet our teachers, and experience the excitement of a Kindergarten Day.
Celebrating 100 Days of Kindergarten
Reaching 100 days of big school is a huge deal! Every year in early Term 3, our Kindergarten students celebrate by dressing up as 100-year-olds. From grey hair to walking sticks, the kids have a blast stepping back in time with vintage games and activities to celebrate this wonderful milestone.
Sparking Curiosity with Science Incursions
Learning doesn't just happen in the classroom! Throughout the year, dynamic visitors bring hands-on experiences to our school. During Science Week, our students witness the wonder of scientific discovery firsthand, fostering a lifelong passion for inquiry and innovation.
Celebrating Our Core Values: PBL Rewards Day
Each term, our students celebrate their positive choices with our PBL Rewards Day. Throughout the term, students earn 'Kandoos' by consistently demonstrating our core school values: being Respectful, Responsible, and achieving their Personal Best.
Students love trading in their well-earned Kandoos for a fantastic afternoon of fun, celebratory activities!
